Show the party attendees the value of your products through engagement and fun posts. You can ask questions about products, showcase a product via picture or video, or plan a game focused on an item.
Putting the focus on fun and letting the products take a step back will actually encourage more sales. No one wants to attend a party where they are chased down to purchase.

Hosting an online party can be easy and fun. However, sometimes it’s hard to know where to have your virtual party. There are lots of options that can make it feel very daunting.
Once the decision to host has been made, you have to decide where Facebook, Instagram, or some other tool? I recommend using Facebook in an event or group for maximum engagement, consistency and use some “fun” scripts. Plus, most people have a Facebook account, so it’s easy to have them meet you there.
You’ll need the perfect (virtual) location for the people attending, food, and drinks for all of your guests. Don’t forget the decorations that match your theme or colors! After all, this sets the tone of any good party.
When is the best time to host?
Is it the best time of year to host a virtual party?
I think that any time of the year is a good time! The truth is, when you’re hosting a virtual event there really isn’t an off-season. You can do them at any point in the year and still get great results.
Of course, some times are going to be busier than others.
For example:
- Christmas season – people are thinking about shopping for gifts as well as wanting to give gifts so this might be a popular time for your events
- Valentine’s Day – Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays because it’s centered around love and giving which means more people will
That does not mean these are bad times to host an online party. It actually may give you a good theme opportunity or a way to showcase the value of your items for presents or loved ones. Think of ways you can capitalize on the holidays, seasons, or other fun type themes to ramp up the fun factor.
As for the time of day, it really depends on your audience. If you are hosting a party for moms of small children, an afternoon time during naps may work out best. If you are hosting for people who work, picking a time they would be home and finished with dinner would be best.
